It sure is! It’s especially helpful in pregnancy when dealing with slow digestion, hemorrhoids, or swelling.
For most people, once or twice per year is perfect. But if you’re chronically experiencing symptoms of sluggish lymph, the regular sessions may be necessary to help with symptom relief and resolution.
The lymph system plays a huge role in immune system health. It’s responsible for moving toxic waste through the lymph fluid —comprised of water and proteins—and into the body’s filtration system.
It’s neither! In fact, it’s very rhythmic and relaxing. Many clients fall asleep during sessions.
Your first MLD session should be an hour long so that you can be fully assessed. After that first session, your therapist will make recommendations on frequency and session length for future appointments.
Many clients report fatigue, flu-like symptoms, and increased urine output in the 24 hours after sessions. Other noticeable effects include clear skin, feeling less “tight” in the skin, decreased swelling, and improved digestion.
