Hi, I’m Ashley!
I am a wife and a mom to 5 amazing kids. My story starts in 2012 when I had been working in retail for 10+ years and found myself unemployed and pregnant with my third baby. I stayed home for a couple of years and dabbled a bit in birth work before deciding to take the risk and go to massage school. I specifically made that decision so that I could be a prenatal massage therapist and support other women just like me. I graduated massage school in 2014 and jumped right into private practice so that I could be my own boss and create the kind of place that could truly be a support to all women.
Over the years, I acquired as many skills as possible, all so that I can serve women better. I took extensive training to become a lymphedema therapist, allowing me to help women in remission from breast cancer. I’ve taken numerous infant massage/bodywork classes to help with fascial strain in babies. I became a Certified Clinical Thermographic Technician to help women take care of their breasts and be proactive about breast health. I am passionate about all things related to women’s health!
In 2021, I decided to take a leap and transform my business from being a solo practitioner to a women’s wellness center, Arukah Wellness. I knew women in my community needed and deserved better than what was being offered. I partnered with local midwives and OB’s, birth-workers, nutritionists, naturopaths, physical therapists, lactation consultants, and chiropractors. It didn’t take long to spread the word! The women in my area LOVE having a place that’s theirs, where they feel so seen and known by the practitioners working here. There’s literally nothing like Arukah and that’s so beautiful!
I’m so proud to be here for the women in my community and to be a safe place for them. My heart is to love women well and to see them thriving in all of life’s stages.
